2025 HKSA Seminar
Meeting with Professor Jieyu Liu,
Joint Editor-in-Chief of The China Quarterly
The 2025 HKSA Seminar, titled "Meeting with the Joint Editor-in-Chief of The China Quarterly," took place on May 30, 2025, at Hong Kong Baptist University. Hosted by the Hong Kong Sociological Association in partnership with the Department of Sociology at Hong Kong Baptist University, the seminar featured Professor Jieyu Liu, a distinguished scholar in Sociology and China Studies at SOAS, University of London, who serves as the Joint Editor-in-Chief of The China Quarterly.
Professor Liu shared invaluable insights and practical advice aimed at improving the chances of acceptance for submissions. Her in-depth presentation explored the nuances of navigating the publication landscape, emphasizing key considerations, pitfalls to avoid, and effective strategies to employ.
The audience, comprising scholars, postgraduates, and researchers from various disciplines within sociology and China studies, actively engaged in an interactive discussion with Professor Liu.
